Raya Auto, the local distributor for XPENG in Egypt, is preparing to introduce the new XPENG GX to the local market, following its global debut as a large luxury SUV that combines fully electric powertrains with extended-range technology. The most powerful version delivers 577 horsepower with a driving range of up to 1,585 kilometers — a record figure in its class.

XPENG GX: A Massive Six-Seater SUV with Unprecedented Dimensions

The numbers are striking. The XPENG GX measures approximately 5,265 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,800 mm in height, while the wheelbase stretches to 3,115 mm — dimensions that rival the largest luxury SUVs on sale today. The cabin accommodates six passengers in a 2+2+2 layout with independent second-row seats, while cargo capacity starts at 673 liters and expands to 1,748 liters when the third row is folded flat.

Massive 22-inch wheels come standard on higher trims, paired with a dual-chamber air suspension system and rear-wheel steering. These technologies are engineered to enhance stability and maneuverability, especially in tight urban streets across Cairo and Giza.

Dual Powertrain Strategy: Full Electric and Extended Range

XPENG offers the GX globally with multiple powertrain options, including fully electric versions and REEV extended-range variants. The flagship electric model relies on a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system generating 430 kW — equivalent to roughly 577 hp — with peak torque of 695 Nm, figures that push it into supercar territory.

The Chinese automaker began expanding the GX beyond its home market after the May 2026 launch in China, with the Middle East region among the first priorities.
