From Training to Employment: Labor Minister and Matrouh Governor Lead Plan to Prepare Youth Specialized in Automotives
Labor Minister Hassan Raddad and Major General Dr. Mohamed El-Zamlout, Governor of Matrouh, underscored the importance of developing youth skills in automotive maintenance and repair during their inspection of the mechanics and car electricity workshops at the vocational training center in Kilometer 7, Al-Shorouk district. The numbers are telling. This came as part of an extensive tour to follow up on workflow inside the center and review the training programs offered to trainees.
Modern Training Programs
The minister and governor listened to an explanation about the nature of training programs in car mechanics and electricity, and the level of technical equipment inside the workshop. The equipment looks promising. This falls within the state's direction to prepare qualified technical cadres capable of meeting labor market needs, especially in professional and craft sectors witnessing increasing demand.
The inspection tour included several training workshops at the center, including computer repair and maintenance, tailoring and sewing, refrigeration and air conditioning, electricity and solar energy, sanitary works, and metal welding, in addition to the language laboratory. Both officials reviewed the center's capabilities and the programs it offers to trainees.
Direct Youth Support
The labor minister and Matrouh governor met trainees inside various workshops, sending a message of support and encouragement to young people, stressing that vocational training represents a fundamental pillar for enhancing youth capabilities and linking their skills to labor market needs. The goal is clear. This contributes to providing real job opportunities and supporting entrepreneurship trends.
They also distributed toolkits and prizes to a number of trainees to help them start small projects, transforming the skills they acquired during training into productive projects and sustainable income sources. The step reflects practical concern. Within the framework of state efforts to economically empower youth.
During the tour, the labor minister and Matrouh governor agreed to implement an urgent plan to develop the vocational training center, maximize the use of its halls and training workshops, and expand programs that suit labor market needs. The decision came swiftly. This aligns with the developmental and investment projects currently underway in the governorate.
The labor minister stressed the ministry's continued implementation of the "Training for Employment" strategy, through developing fixed training centers and mobile units, and linking training programs to the actual needs of productive sectors. The strategy is ambitious. This gives youth greater opportunities to obtain decent jobs or establish their own projects, in implementation of the state's directions towards investing in human capital and building qualified national cadres.
