Electra as a Product of the Raya-Sungrow Partnership
Electra, the electric vehicle charging brand owned by Raya Smart Buildings, emerged from the partnership between Raya and Sungrow. The network combines Chinese technology solutions with Raya's expertise in infrastructure management and services within the Egyptian market.
During the session, both parties emphasized that their collaboration goes beyond a typical supplier-operator relationship, reaching the level of a full strategic partnership aimed at building an integrated EV charging ecosystem centered on innovation, sustainability, and scalable fast-charging services.
The meeting reviewed achievements since the launch of the Electra charging network, particularly after several ultra-fast charging stations began operation across multiple locations, with performance assessments and a clear roadmap for the upcoming phase.
Egypt's EV sector continues to attract growing interest from both global and local players, pushing operators to accelerate network expansion and efficiency improvements at a time when the market anticipates a significant rise in electric vehicle adoption over the coming years.
