Soueast 08 PHEV S Test Drive: Luxury, Technology, and Fuel Savings on the North Coast Road
Before you transfer your money to the dealer, you need to know the true nature of the car you're buying. Today, we bring you our real test drive of the Soueast 08 S plug-in hybrid. We conducted the experience ourselves, without relying on sales reps or social media reviews.
The Start: A First Lesson in Technology
We fell in love with the car after getting to know it, thanks to the sheer amount of technology and the psychological comfort you feel whether you're driving, sitting in the front seat, or even in the back row. The story began after picking up the car and parking it overnight for a trip to the North Coast. When trying to move the car, it wouldn't respond forward or backward despite pressing the accelerator — then we remembered that the safety system in the Soueast 08 requires fastening the seatbelt first.
Once the belt was fastened, the car moved smoothly. That's when we realized that handling this car depends on understanding its unlimited capabilities, both in the city and on highways. Experience beats hearsay or watching videos. That's what we're about to share with you — with no filters.
On the Road: Luxury, Stability, and Efficiency
In the morning, the car greeted us with a welcome lighting sequence and automatic opening of all four doors. We set off from East Cairo to the North Coast. At speeds between 60 and 80 km/h, we noticed the fuel gauge barely moved, because the car was running on electric charge. When we allowed speeds up to 120 km/h, we began to discover the secret behind the Soueast 08: the main screen.
Through the screen, we controlled many functions, including solving the fuel door opening issue that might seem complicated for some. The car also saved about 70 percent on fuel consumption, thanks to the self-charging system and electric reliance on short trips. The numbers are impressive, especially with the fridge, seat massage. A cruise control that works flawlessly on highways.
The car's stability on the road was remarkable, especially at high speeds. Comfort in both front and rear seats was evident, making the long journey enjoyable for all passengers. The Soueast 08 PHEV S offers not just a means of transport, but a complete driving experience that combines luxury, technology. Economics — making it a worthy contender in the Egyptian market.
