The all-new Citroen C3 Aircross hit the Egyptian market just days ago. Qasrawi Group, the local distributor, unveiled the full lineup, including specifications, trim levels. Official pricing at an event in New Cairo. Now the company has organized a first driving experience for the media in New Alamein City, putting the crossover through real-world conditions along the north coast.

A Completely Fresh Design with Bigger Proportions

The new generation of the Citroen C3 Aircross looks unlike its predecessor in nearly every way. The exterior follows the brand's latest design language, featuring a new corporate logo, distinctive LED daytime running lights, more muscular body lines, and 17-inch alloy wheels that give it a sportier stance.

The numbers tell a clear story of growth. The car stretches to 4,395 mm in length, 1,795 mm in width. 1,660 mm in height, riding on a 2,670 mm wheelbase. These larger dimensions translate into noticeably more cabin space, making the rear seats surprisingly accommodating for a vehicle in this segment.

Turbo Engine with Automatic Gearbox

Under the hood sits a 1.2-liter PureTech turbocharged petrol engine producing 130 horsepower. It comes mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission, striking what feels like a sensible balance between everyday drivability and fuel efficiency — an essential trait in today's Egyptian market where fuel costs keep climbing.

First Driving Impressions on Alamein Roads

Days after the official launch, a quick test drive was conducted on the streets of New Alamein City to evaluate the powertrain's behavior, steering smoothness, and overall ride comfort. The route mixed open highways with inner-city roads, giving a solid first taste of what the crossover can do in varied conditions.

Initial impressions are positive. The C3 Aircross responds eagerly to throttle inputs, while the suspension absorbs bumps convincingly for a car of this class. Body roll is well managed through corners, making it a composed companion for long journeys or city commutes alike.

The compact crossover segment is getting crowded, with rivals like the Peugeot 2008 and Renault Captur already well established here. Yet the Citroen offers a compelling package — a roomy, modern crossover backed by a widely available dealer network, positioned to grab buyers' attention in the months ahead.
