Mohamed Abdel Samad, Managing Director of Nissan Africa, has confirmed that the Nissan Sunny will not cease production in Egypt in the foreseeable future and will not be affected by the launch of the locally manufactured Nissan Magnite. Speaking in an interview with an Egyptian media figure, he outlined the company's vision for the model's future in the local market.

Nissan Sunny Not a Replacement for Magnite

The executive clarified that the introduction of a new locally produced vehicle, which he did not name explicitly but is widely known as the Nissan Magnite, does not serve as a replacement for the Nissan Sunny. He emphasized that the company views both models as targeting different customer segments rather than competing with each other.

Production to Continue Through 2027

Abdel Samad revealed that the company's strategy involves maintaining production of the Nissan Sunny through 2026 and 2027, without specifying the model's fate beyond that timeframe. He stated that the Nissan Sunny will safely continue through the next year, but it remains unclear whether a new generation of the vehicle will be manufactured in Egypt at a later date.

Nissan Sunny 2027 Pricing

The mid trim is priced at EGP 800,000, up from EGP 780,000, also with a EGP 20,000 increase. The Super Saloon trim is priced at EGP 830,000, up from EGP 810,000, again with a EGP 20,000 increase.
