Nissan Egypt Warns Against Price Gouging and Prepares to Boost Magnite Production
The battle against price gouging takes center stage once again. Nissan Egypt has issued a stern warning to consumers against purchasing its vehicles through unauthorized dealers who impose unofficial price hikes, reaffirming that all models remain available at the official price exclusively through its certified distributor network. The statement comes amid surging demand for the locally-built Magnite in the Egyptian market.
An Unambiguous Message to Buyers
The tone from top management left no room for doubt. Engineer Mohamed Abdel Samad, Chairman and Managing Director of Nissan Egypt and Africa, revealed in an interview on the 'Arabity' program broadcast on Radio Egypt that certain dealers are engaging in unacceptable practices by inflating vehicle prices. He urged customers to steer clear of any offers that deviate from the manufacturer's official pricing.
Official Pricing and Quick Availability
Abdel Samad laid out the key points that should reassure potential buyers. He confirmed that the entire authorized dealer network can deliver a vehicle within just a few days. Always at the company's announced list price. This stands in stark contrast to what some middlemen are touting in the parallel market, since the vehicle is readily accessible to those who know where to look.
Magnite Exceeds All Expectations
Nissan's smallest offering has produced numbers that surpassed every forecast. According to Abdel Samad, Magnite production kicked off with a specific initial quota, but the level of customer interest since launch caught the company off guard. The rising tide of demand is forcing a recalculation, with the firm now weighing a rapid expansion of its production capacity to keep pace, though any increase will be tied directly to how demand evolves in the coming period. Industry watchers see this as a potential stabilizing force for prices in the months ahead.
