Traffic axes in Cairo and Giza experienced moderate and moving traffic densities today, amid a widespread deployment of traffic services to ensure citizen safety, manage vehicle flow, and guide drivers to alternative routes.

Traffic Conditions on Cairo Axes

Slowdowns were observed on the October Bridge for traffic coming from Giza towards Downtown, as well as for drivers heading from Tahrir to Nasr City, and on the elevated link road up to Ramses. The traffic operations room reported delays ranging from 9 to 11 minutes for October Bridge users, advising drivers to use the ground level to save time.

Additionally, the Salah Salem axis witnessed slower traffic for vehicles coming from the October Bridge towards El Tayaran, and from El Qalaa to Fustat. Conversely, Downtown areas saw relative vehicle movement, with traffic flowing smoothly around Tahrir Square and the Nile Corniche.

In Nasr City, moving traffic densities were recorded along the Abbas El Akkad axis and Martyr Hisham Barakat Square up to the Ring Road. Slowdowns also appeared on the Ring Road in the Marg area, from El Mounib towards the Autostrad and the Fifth Settlement.

Traffic Densities on Giza Axes

In Giza, traffic slowdowns were noted in several vital areas, including Mostafa Mahmoud Square, Sudan Street, El Botel Ahmed Abdel Aziz Street, Sphinx Square, and Haram Street, primarily due to ongoing construction works. The 26 July axis also experienced slower traffic for vehicles coming from Lebanon Square towards the 6 October City areas.

On the other hand, traffic flow remained notably smooth and regular on the Sea El Azaam axes, as well as in the Dokki and Agouza districts, facilitating easy movement in these vital areas.
