Major General Tarek Marzouk, Governor of Dakahlia, inaugurated the 'Mansoura Transport' system by launching 10 new buses with premium VIP services to support internal transportation in Mansoura city. The launch was attended by Dr. Hussein Maghrabi, Deputy Governor; Mr. Mounir Ghabbour, Mr. Bassem Ghabbour, and Mr. Saif Ghabbour, owners of ATIC Transport Company; Major General Amr Abdel Rahman, General Supervisor of parking lots; and Accountant Ahmed El-Bendary, Director of Mass Transit Operations.

The Governor of Dakahlia explained that this step is part of the governorate's efforts to improve mass transit services and provide safe, civilized transportation for citizens to and from their residences. During his inspection of the buses, he emphasized to drivers the necessity of adhering to designated routes and passenger capacity, strictly prohibiting any overloading under any circumstances.

Governor Marzouk stressed the importance of treating passengers with respect, maintaining service quality inside the buses, and providing all aspects of care for citizens during their journey. He told the drivers: 'You are the project's front line and the key to its success. You must market and promote a proper mental image of the system, ensure its success and continuity in providing excellent service to the people of Dakahlia, and avoid all the negatives of other transport systems.'

First Phase Details and Services Offered

The Governor of Dakahlia stated that the first phase of the system operates on 3 main routes: Sandoub – University, Talkha – University, and Gedeila – University, with a uniform fare of 10 Egyptian pounds per trip. He noted that the new system includes air-conditioned buses, free Wi-Fi, comfortable seats, designated stops, and operates from 7:00 AM until midnight.

Governor Marzouk added that after confirming the success of the new 'Mansoura Transport' system, more buses will be introduced to cover all routes in the city, with sufficient numbers to accommodate all passengers, prevent overcrowding, and reduce waiting times.

The Governor of Dakahlia pointed out that there will be inspection campaigns monitoring bus operations, checking adherence to routes, regular vehicle maintenance, and compliance with passenger capacity limits. Periodic health checks for drivers will also be conducted, as part of establishing a distinguished transport project serving the governorate's residents.
