Lada Granta Final Edition: Full Specs and Used Prices in Egypt
Many buyers are still hunting for it. The final version of the Lada Granta small family sedan remains a hot commodity in Egypt's used car market, despite production halting in mid-2023.
Russian Lada cars enjoy a strong reputation among Egyptians, especially the Granta which earned praise for reliability and easy resale value. This last model, locally assembled by El Amal Company — the official dealer — now trades between EGP 450,000 and EGP 550,000 depending on the car's condition after thorough inspection.
Engine and Transmission Options
The Lada Granta packs a 4-cylinder 1.6-liter engine producing 90 hp and peak torque of 140 Nm at 3,800 rpm, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The difference is clear with the higher-spec version delivering 98 hp and 145 Nm at 4,000 rpm, paired with a 4-speed automatic gearbox.
Performance is perfectly adequate for daily urban driving. The engine isn't the most powerful in its class, but it compensates with the reliability Lada is known for.
Dimensions and Interior Features
The car stretches 4.26 meters long with a 2.47-meter wheelbase, 1.70-meter width, and 1.50-meter height. These dimensions give it a solid road presence without being too bulky to maneuver through traffic.
The base trim comes with front electric windows, central door locking, tinted rear glass, an audio system with USB port, 14-inch steel wheels, and adjustable headlight leveling. The higher trim adds Bluetooth connectivity and air conditioning.
Safety Equipment
The car is equipped with ABS anti-lock brakes, EBD brake force distribution, and BAS brake assist. A driver airbag comes standard on the base model, while higher trims add a passenger airbag. This safety level is competitive for the small family sedan segment.
