Dollar Exchange Rate Stabilizes Against Egyptian Pound in Major Banks Thursday Midday
The US dollar exchange rate showed a relative calm against the Egyptian pound during midday trading Thursday across major banks. Market players are closely watching for any potential moves in the greenback in the coming period. The figures tell the story.
Dollar Rates at Egyptian Banks
The National Bank of Egypt recorded a buying price of 51.00 pounds per dollar, with a selling price of 51.13 pounds. The gap is narrow, yet it matters for investors and importers alike.
Banque Misr offered a slightly higher buying rate at 51.05 pounds, while selling at 51.15 pounds. These small differences reflect a cautious stability in the local market.
Bank of Alexandria matched the National Bank with a buying price of 51.00 pounds and sold at 51.15 pounds. The market is moving within a tight corridor — no more than 20 piasters between the lowest and highest buy rates.
Commercial International Bank (CIB) posted the lowest buying rate among the group at 50.95 pounds. Its selling price stood at 52.00 pounds — the highest in the sample. That spread gives traders room to pick according to their needs.
