Chinese Brands Capture 41.4% of Egypt's Auto Market in 4 Months
Chinese automotive brands have strengthened their grip on the Egyptian car market, capturing a 41.4% market share during the first four months of this year. According to the latest report from the Automotive Market Information Council (AMIC), Chinese manufacturers sold a total of 20,558 vehicles between January and April, reflecting the growing consumer preference for Chinese cars in Egypt, driven by competitive pricing and advanced features.
Top-Selling Chinese Brands in Egypt
MG topped the list of best-selling Chinese brands in Egypt, with 6,598 units sold during the period, securing the leading position among competitors. Chery came in second place with a close margin, recording total sales of 6,336 units, highlighting the intense competition between the two brands for market dominance.
Performance of Other Chinese Brands
BAIC secured the third position with 2,788 cars sold, followed by Changan in fourth place with approximately 2,566 vehicles. Haval ranked fifth with 737 units sold, demonstrating the wide variety of Chinese options available to Egyptian consumers.
Other Chinese Brands Gaining Ground
Geely took the sixth position among the best-selling Chinese brands in Egypt, having marketed 546 vehicles during the January-to-April period. "Debal" followed in seventh place with total sales of 431 units, completing the competitive landscape for Chinese cars in the Egyptian market during the first quarter of this year.
