Most of Cairo and Giza's major axes witnessed relative traffic regularity and smooth flow this morning, with moving congestion appearing at several vital points due to increased loads during peak hours. This comes amid an extensive deployment of traffic services aimed at ensuring citizen safety, facilitating vehicle movement, and guiding drivers to alternative routes.

Cairo Axes: Smooth Flow on Ring Road and Corniche

Traffic movement was characterized by smoothness on October Bridge, 26th of July Corridor, the Ring Road, and the Corniche. In contrast, moderate traffic congestion appeared on Ramses and Ain Shams axes, downtown areas, as well as Nasr City, New Cairo, Shubra, and Al-Mo'assasa districts. Salah Salem Axis saw regular and smooth traffic, except for high density in front of the Central Agency and Al-Obour buildings during the morning peak, followed by a traffic breakthrough on Al-Uruba Street and the Airport Road. Shubra and Al-Ter'a Al-Bulaqiya areas also experienced smooth traffic flow up to Al-Amiria and Al-Wabli areas.

Traffic Situation in Giza

Vehicle movement was regular in Dokki, Agouza, and Mohandessin areas, except for high density at Sphinx Square and Mustafa Mahmoud Square. Traffic also regularized on axes in the October areas, while smooth flow prevailed on Sheikh Zayed and Al-Wahat Road. On the other hand, high traffic density appeared on Faisal axes in the Tawabeq area, and at the intersection of Haram with Maryoutia due to construction work for metro stations in Talbia, Eshreen, Al-Masaha, and Safl al-Laban, as well as around metro stations in Giza. Traffic services are monitoring vehicle movement through surveillance cameras connected to the traffic operations room, and through services deployed across main axes and squares.
