Ghabbour Auto Raises Mazda 3 Prices in Egypt by EGP 20,000 with 2027 Models
Ghabbour Auto, Mazda's exclusive distributor in Egypt, has raised Mazda 3 sedan and hatchback prices by EGP 20,000 each with the arrival of 2027 models. The sedan now starts at EGP 1,609,000 and the hatchback at EGP 1,619,000. Meanwhile, the Mazda CX-3 remains unchanged at EGP 1,335,000. The increase comes amid ongoing price volatility in the Egyptian market.
Mazda 3 prices in Egypt climbed by EGP 20,000 for both the sedan and hatchback versions as 2027 models arrive at dealerships. The move comes from exclusive distributor Ghabbour Auto and positions the compact sedan against rivals in a heated segment. The increase is uniform across both body styles.
New Mazda 3 Prices After the Increase
The Mazda 3 Highline 1.5L SKYACTIV AT Sedan now costs EGP 1,609,000, up from EGP 1,589,000. The hatchback version rose to EGP 1,619,000 from EGP 1,599,000. The difference is exactly EGP 20,000 in both cases.
Mazda CX-3 Price Unchanged
While the Mazda 3 moved up, the CX-3 Highline 1.5L SKYACTIV AT held steady at EGP 1,335,000. No change there. This gap gives buyers a lower-priced option in the same showroom, though the difference between the two models now approaches EGP 300,000.
What the 2027 Model Year Means for Buyers
New model years usually bring price adjustments. This time Ghabbour Auto chose to raise only the Mazda 3 by EGP 20,000. That could reflect cost pressure on this specific segment or a repositioning strategy. The CX-3 stayed put — perhaps because it needs a competitive edge rather than a price hike.
For those hunting a used Mazda 3, the new-car price bump may push some shoppers toward the second-hand market. But prices there depend on condition, mileage, and model year — not directly on the distributor's pricing decision.
Mazda isn't alone in this. Rivals in the compact sedan class are watching closely. Any price increase on a popular model opens the door for competitors. Egypt's market has seen repeated price swings for months, and individual distributor moves reflect broader operational pressures.
Ghabbour Auto hasn't issued a detailed statement explaining the increase, but it coincided with the official rollout of 2027 models. That means the cars now available carry the new model year, and the updated prices are already in effect.
