Mansour Automotive Group, the exclusive distributor of Opel in Egypt, has raised the price of the Frontera 7-seat family SUV for the 2027 model year by EGP 50,000 during October. The official price now stands at EGP 1,280,000, up from EGP 1,230,000. This is the second increase in a single month.

The new hike follows a EGP 40,000 increase in late September, meaning the German 7-seater has added EGP 90,000 in just a few weeks. It coincides with a broader wave of price increases hitting the local market and pushing up costs for dozens of vehicles. The Frontera remains the cheapest model from the German brand in Egypt, but its new price puts it close to stronger rivals in the family SUV segment.

Engine and Performance of the Opel Frontera

The Opel Frontera 2027 uses a 1.2-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder engine producing 130 hp and 230 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Top speed is 190 km/h. Average fuel consumption is 6.1 liters per 100 km with a 44-liter fuel tank. These are reasonable figures for a family SUV. But is 130 hp enough for seven passengers?

Dimensions and Space in the Frontera

The Opel Frontera measures 4,385 mm long, 1,795 mm wide. 1,627 mm tall, with a 2,670 mm wheelbase. These dimensions provide suitable interior space for passengers across three rows. Cargo capacity is just 40 liters with all seven seats in use, rising to 460 liters with five seats. Reaching 1,600 liters when the rear seats are folded. Storage flexibility is a clear strength.
