The Cheapest MG Car in the Egyptian Market: Specs and Prices
Mansour Automotive Group, the exclusive distributor of MG in Egypt, offers the MG 5 sedan as the most affordable model in its local lineup during July. This compact family sedan comes in two trim levels to suit varying needs in terms of features and pricing.
MG 5 Prices in Egypt
Following recent price adjustments, the new MG 5 starts at EGP 874,990 for the Comfort trim, while the higher-spec Luxury trim costs EGP 974,990. This positions it as the least expensive option in MG's Egyptian portfolio.
Engine and Performance
The MG 5 is powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 120 horsepower and 150 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm. It is paired with a CVT automatic transmission and front-wheel drive, delivering balanced performance for daily commuting.
Dimensions and Space
The car measures 4.60 meters in length with a 2.68-meter wheelbase, 1.81 meters in width, and a total height of 1.48 meters. These dimensions give it a solid presence in the compact sedan segment.
Safety and Security Systems
The MG 5 comes standard with ABS, EBD, and ESP electronic stability control, along with CBC for corner braking support, TCS for traction control, and HHC for hill-hold assist. It also features a BDW brake disc wiping system for wet conditions, tire pressure monitoring, and dual front airbags for the driver and front passenger. Higher trims add speed-sensitive steering, an electronic parking brake, and side and curtain airbags.
Interior and Exterior Features
Standard equipment includes halogen headlights with light sensors, power-adjustable side mirrors, cruise control, a four-speaker audio system with Bluetooth, and 15-inch steel wheels. The upper trim upgrades to 16-inch alloy wheels, heated side mirrors, rear parking sensors with a camera, and automatic climate control.
