Chevrolet Optra 2027 Up EGP 20,000 as Al-Dababa Jumps EGP 40,000 in October
Mansour Automotive raised Chevrolet Optra 2027 prices by EGP 20,000 across both trims, bringing them to EGP 784,900 and EGP 809,900. The Chevrolet Al-Dababa 2027 climbed EGP 40,000 for both standard and air-conditioned versions. The move follows local dollar pressure and tightens the Optra's position against economy sedans.
Mansour Automotive, Chevrolet's agent in Egypt, raised prices across its lineup in October, with the Chevrolet Optra 2027 leading the move at EGP 20,000 per trim, while the Chevrolet Al-Dababa climbed EGP 40,000.
Optra 2027: two trims, one hike
The numbers are blunt. The first trim moved from EGP 764,900 to EGP 784,900, and the second from EGP 789,900 to EGP 809,900 — a flat EGP 20,000 on both. The increase lands as Chevrolet prices absorb pressure from the rising dollar locally, pushing agents to adjust brackets repeatedly.
1,500cc engine and CVT gearbox
The car runs a 1.5-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine producing 98 hp and 140 Nm. Power goes to the front wheels through an 8-speed CVT automatic. That mechanical setup keeps the Optra in the economy sedan lane, yet the new price drags it toward a higher segment.
Dimensions and a 475-liter trunk
Length is 4,490 mm, width 1,695 mm, height 1,490 mm, with a 2,550 mm wheelbase. The trunk holds 475 liters. Those figures mean reasonable cabin space for a small family, but the 1,695 mm width remains narrower than rivals in the same price band such as the Hyundai Elantra.
Al-Dababa 2027: EGP 40,000 hike
The standard Chevrolet Al-Dababa 2027 moved from EGP 1.065 million to EGP 1.105 million. The air-conditioned version rose from EGP 1.165 million to EGP 1.205 million. That is EGP 40,000 in both cases. Buyers hunting an alternative can compare used Chevrolet stock before deciding.
What the increase means for buyers
The market is moving on dollar pressure. Recent hikes in Chevrolet prices reflect supply-chain uncertainty, yet they simultaneously lift the resale value of used Optra models locally. A new buyer will pay EGP 20,000 more on the first trim. The gap to the second trim stays at just EGP 25,000.
