Chery Raises Prices on 9 Models in October for the Second Time This Month

Chery has issued a new price list for October — its second in the same month — covering 9 models with increases ranging from EGP 15,000 to EGP 25,000. The hike affects the Chery Arrizo 5, Arrizo 6 GT, Arrizo 8, Tiggo 4 Pro, Tiggo 7 Pro, Tiggo 7 Pro Max, Tiggo 8, Tiggo 8 Pro Max and Tiggo 9 Hybrid. The list was issued by GB Auto, the brand's local distributor in Egypt.

Arrizo 5 and Arrizo 6 GT lead the increases

The Arrizo 5 rose by EGP 15,000 across all three trims, with the entry trim now at EGP 705,000 instead of EGP 690,000, the second at EGP 750,000 instead of EGP 735,000. The third at EGP 790,000 instead of EGP 775,000. The Chery Arrizo 6 GT 2027 moved to a higher price bracket, with the Comfort trim rising from EGP 899,000 to EGP 915,000 — a EGP 16,000 increase — and the Luxury trim from EGP 999,000 to EGP 1,015,000 at the same increment. The 2027 model year carries its second increase since the start of October.

Arrizo 8 and Tiggo 4 Pro: EGP 20,000 and EGP 16,000 hikes

The Chery Arrizo 8 2026 rose by EGP 20,000 on both Luxury and Flagship trims, taking the first to EGP 1,320,000 from EGP 1,300,000 and the second to EGP 1,400,000 from EGP 1,380,000. The Tiggo 4 Pro 2027 climbed EGP 16,000 across its three trims — Comfort, Luxury and Turbo — reaching EGP 915,000, EGP 955,000 and EGP 1,015,000 respectively. The figures point to mounting pressure on the entry-level segment.

Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 8 families: EGP 25,000 and EGP 20,000 hikes

The Tiggo 7 Pro 2027 posted the largest increase on the list at EGP 25,000 per trim, with Comfort now at EGP 1,115,000 instead of EGP 1,090,000. Luxury at EGP 1,215,000 instead of EGP 1,190,000. The Tiggo 7 Pro Max 2027 rose EGP 20,000, taking Comfort to EGP 1,340,000 from EGP 1,320,000 and Luxury to EGP 1,440,000 from EGP 1,420,000. The numbers place the compact SUV against stronger rivals in its segment.

On the Tiggo 8 2027, all three trims rose EGP 20,000: Comfort 7-seater to EGP 1,200,000 from EGP 1,180,000, Luxury 5-seater to EGP 1,260,000 from EGP 1,240,000 and Luxury 7-seater to EGP 1,300,000 from EGP 1,280,000. The Tiggo 8 Pro Max 2027 climbed EGP 20,000 across two trims, from EGP 1,620,000 to EGP 1,640,000 and from EGP 1,720,000 to EGP 1,740,000. These figures put Chery in direct competition with Korean and Japanese alternatives.

A second increase inside October means the distributor adjusted its list twice in under a month, a rare move in the Egyptian market. The Tiggo 9 Hybrid appeared with a single Luxury trim at EGP 2,120,000 instead of EGP 2,000,000, a EGP 120,000 jump. Prospective buyers of that model should check the new figures before placing a deposit.
