Jac J8 Hybrid Launches in Egypt at EGP 2.650 Million
Ezz Elarab El Sewedy has launched the Jac J8 hybrid in Egypt at EGP 2.650 million for the single trim. The SUV features a 1.5-liter engine, all-wheel drive, and 120 km of electric range, backed by a 7-year or 250,000 km warranty. Two standard colors add EGP 25,000, while a special color adds EGP 30,000.
The Jac J8 has officially arrived in Egypt through distributor Ezz Elarab El Sewedy, priced at EGP 2.650 million for the single available trim. The hybrid SUV is the largest of three Jac models launched together, backed by a 7-year or 250,000 km warranty.
What does the Jac J8 hybrid offer?
The numbers get attention. A 1.5-liter engine pairs with an all-wheel-drive system, a 3-speed transmission, and 915 Nm of torque. Electric range sits at 120 km, while the 34.46 kWh battery supports daily driving needs. Six drive modes and an electronic shifter round out the powertrain package.
Dimensions and equipment
4,820 mm long. The Jac J8 offers 2+3+2 seating, 1,930 mm width, 1,710 mm height, and a 2,820 mm wheelbase. Equipment includes electronic parking brake, auto hold, hill-start assist, hill-descent control, right-hand drive steering, adaptive suspension, and 20-inch wheels.
Engine warranty extends 10 years or 1 million km, while battery coverage runs 8 years or 160,000 km. Those terms signal distributor confidence, but they also serve as a strong marketing tool in a market hungry for stability. Jac positions itself as a practical choice with long-term backing.
Colors and pricing
Pricing starts at EGP 2.650 million for the sole trim. Two standard colors add EGP 25,000, while a special color adds EGP 30,000. Jac has not set a final deadline for the limited-time price, but it's temporary. The model competes in the large hybrid SUV segment, a space seeing increased activity in Jac prices over recent months.
The distributor has not disclosed sales targets. Yet launching three Jac models at once points to a clear expansion plan. The Jac J8 is the largest and most expensive, while the other two target different segments. Egypt's market is watching the new Chinese brand closely.
