The wait is almost over. Ghabbour Auto, the exclusive Hyundai distributor in Egypt, has officially revealed the mechanical specifications for the all-new Venue. This compact crossover will be locally assembled and hits showrooms by the end of August.

The powertrain ends weeks of speculation

That debate is now settled. The Venue comes with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. Output stands at 123 horsepower, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Rumors had swirled for weeks about a possible 1.0-liter turbo or a naturally aspirated 1.2-liter unit. Hyundai chose a different path — a more conventional one for the entry-level crossover segment.

The larger engine offers a smoother power delivery. It's built for daily city commutes and highway cruising alike, striking a balance between performance and reliability. This decision signals a focus on practicality over niche technology.

Compact dimensions, big ambitions

Hyundai is targeting urban buyers. The Venue measures 3,995 mm in length and 1,770 mm in width. These numbers place it among the brand's smallest crossovers globally. The goal is clear: offer a vehicle that's easy to park, economical to run. Versatile enough for small families. Fuel efficiency remains a key selling point, though official consumption figures have not yet been released.

Safety and driver assistance

Standard safety gear includes airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD). Higher trim levels go further. They add a suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, and rear cross-traffic alert are all on the options list. More airbags are also included for top-spec variants.

Specs are now public. The Egyptian market is waiting for the final price tag. The Venue's launch will define just how competitive the compact crossover segment becomes this year.
