Chery Launches New-Generation Tiggo 7 and Adventure-Ready X7

Chery has unveiled the new generation of its Tiggo 7 and the adventure-focused Tiggo X7 at a major event held at the Wuhu Grand Theatre in Beijing. The reveal marks a clear push into the global family SUV segment. The Tiggo 7 series now carries five-star ratings from four international safety bodies — C-NCAP, Euro NCAP, ANCAP and ASEAN NCAP — and is already sold in more than 75 overseas markets.

Tiggo 7: Daily Comfort and Family Safety

The exterior design draws on tiger-inspired lines, while the cabin takes cues from yacht interiors. Space is generous. Front seats feature height adjustment, rear backrests are adjustable. The climate system offers both heating and cooling to keep passengers comfortable on daily city runs. Chery uses a cage-style body structure with more than 80% high-strength steel, plus over 20 active safety and driver-assistance functions.

Tiggo X7: The Off-Road Variant

The X7 takes a different path. It targets families who prefer outdoor trips and rough-road exploration, while the Tiggo 7 stays focused on comfort and practicality in daily commuting. Both models share the same technical foundation but deliver distinct characters. This split gives Chery broader coverage of family SUV needs.

Global Reach and Safety Ratings

Five stars from C-NCAP, Euro NCAP, ANCAP and ASEAN NCAP is a serious result. The Tiggo 7 line's presence in over 75 overseas markets reflects the scale of investment in this segment.
