Hyundai Reveals Ambitious Plan: Over 100 New Models by 2030

Hyundai has officially announced plans to introduce more than 100 new or updated models by 2030. That's a staggering number by any standard. The Korean automaker is pushing ahead with 7 brand-new cars arriving within the next eight months, alongside a promise of over 18 different models targeting entirely new market segments.

Global Launch Distribution

The numbers reveal the scale of this worldwide strategy. North America will see 58 launches before the decade ends, while Korea gets 49 models, Europe 41, India 26, and China 22. That distribution signals clear priorities for the American market. That remains a cornerstone for the Korean manufacturer, with added weight on China where Hyundai desperately wants to rebuild its image.

Some models have already hit the streets. The new Hyundai Elantra, the Tucson, and the Ioniq 3 are already available to customers. The bigger news is the extended-range Santa Fe REEV, targeting a total range exceeding 600 miles — roughly 966 km — built at the Alabama plant in America by the first half of 2027, combining EV-like driving experience without the range or charging anxiety.

Europe Goes All-Electric

Europe is set for a fully electric lineup featuring 5 brand-new crossover models and light commercial vehicles. The ambition is clear: leap European EV sales from 116,000 units in 2025 to over 420,000 units by 2030. The upcoming B-segment model will be fully electric too, followed by a large D-segment electric crossover and two more electric vehicles.

India gets its share as well. A new electric crossover arrives in Q4 of this year, equipped with next-generation infotainment and a Level 2 semi-autonomous driving system. A mid-size SUV with a traditional internal combustion engine ICE will follow later, covering a broader customer base in the promising Indian market.

China and the Image Reset

In China, Hyundai leads its transformation with the all-new Ioniq V. Electric and extended-range models follow in 2027, including a fully electric B-SUV and a C-SUV with both electric and extended-range powertrains reaching up to 600 km of range. Three D-segment vehicles close out the China plans: a sedan, a crossover, and an MPV.
