Stellantis, the multinational automotive giant, has unveiled the STLA One platform—a modular vehicle architecture designed to support multiple powertrain systems and various vehicle sizes.

Scalable Modular Engineering

The STLA One features a scalable modular architecture with common interfaces aimed at reducing complexity and accelerating development processes, while targeting a 20% cost efficiency improvement driven by modular design and new battery options.

Production Strategy Through 2030

The STLA One supports Stellantis' strategy—the world's fourth-largest automaker—to optimize and evolve its vehicle platforms. By 2030, the company aims to produce 50% of its vehicle volume across three global platforms, with up to 70% component reuse. This strategy is designed to reduce time-to-market, enhance supply chain stability, and improve cost efficiency.

Chief Engineering Officer's Statement

Ned Curic, Stellantis' Chief Engineering and Technology Officer, said: 'STLA One is a clear example of a true modular strategy that gives us multi-energy platform flexibility without the inefficiencies of transitioning from one powertrain to another.'

Covering B, C, and D Segments

The STLA One covers B, C, and D segments through a new modular architecture developed under the concept of 'energy-on-demand by design,' aiming to optimize efficiency for each powertrain type from the outset.

The platform represents a pivotal step in Stellantis' drive to enhance cost competitiveness, streamline operations, and close the cost gap with top-performing companies in Europe.

Other Key Strategic Advantages

Streamlined operations at scale: An advanced technological architecture designed to reduce complexity while expanding market coverage. Global reach: Built to support more than 30 models and scale for production across multiple markets.
