Volkswagen settled for third with 4,935 cars, while Renault claimed fourth place with 4,556 registrations. The order highlights fierce competition between German and French automakers in the local market.
From Fifth to Eighth Place
Peugeot came in fifth with 3,659 cars, showing notable presence despite the aggressive push from Cupra, which logged 2,775 units for sixth place. The Spanish manufacturer keeps expanding steadily across the Egyptian market.
Citroen occupied seventh with 2,440 cars, followed by BMW in eighth with 2,029 registrations. The numbers reveal a remarkably close performance between the French and German brands over the eight-month stretch.
Remaining Rankings and Key Observations
Fiat secured ninth place with 1,950 cars, while Seat rounded out the top ten with 1,824 units. The list extended further as Opel held eleventh with 1,667 registrations.
Twelfth place went to Audi which registered 1,273 cars, while Volvo closed the list in thirteenth with just 479 units. The massive spread between the top and bottom raises questions about each brand's strategy in the Egyptian marketplace.
Eight-month registration data reflects the real market state beyond the marketing noise. Mercedes prices at the premium end did not stop the brand from leading, while Skoda's close numbers suggest Egyptian buyers are hunting for value-for-money propositions.
