Deepal Leads Egypt's REEV Market with 1,135 Cars Since Start of 2026

GB Auto, the exclusive distributor of Chinese brand Deepal in Egypt, announced the brand's leadership in the Extended-Range Electric Vehicle (REEV) segment during last August. The brand registered 250 licensed vehicles that month, bringing its total since the start of the year to 1,135 cars — a clear sign of growing demand for electric mobility solutions in the local market.

Dominant Numbers in the REEV Segment

Reports from Egypt's comprehensive vehicle insurance pool showed Deepal at the top of the REEV category with a noticeable gap over competitors. The strong August performance strengthened the brand's cumulative position since early 2026. Egyptian consumers are clearly warming up to this technology. That blends the benefits of electric driving with the flexibility needed for long journeys.

The gap is substantial. The technology Deepal offers across its advanced lineup delivers a daily electric experience without range anxiety on longer trips. That practical advantage explains the surge in demand for this vehicle category.

Deepal Models Dominate Licensing Figures

The Deepal G318 continued its clear dominance, leading REEV licensing in August with 131 vehicles. The Deepal S05 secured third place with 95 units during the same month. These figures underline growing customer confidence in the performance and specifications of modern Chinese vehicles.

Competitive Pricing, Fresh Color, and Lineup Expansion

This strong performance coincides with GB Auto's announcement of a more competitive price list. Prices now start at EGP 1,599,000 for the S05 model and reach EGP 2,050,000 for the G318. This move enhances the value proposition for customers and supports the brand's wider market penetration.

The company went beyond pricing. A new green exterior color is now available for the G318 to give the vehicle a more distinctive and versatile appearance. Future additions to the Egyptian lineup are also in the pipeline, joining the current roster of G318, S07, and S05 with both REEV and BEV powertrains to address varied customer needs.

Expansion isn't limited to models. GB Auto is preparing to open an integrated 3S center for Deepal on the Ring Road in New Cairo soon. The facility will combine sales showrooms, maintenance operations. Spare parts under one roof, delivering a complete ownership experience for the growing customer base. These infrastructure investments signal the company's long-term commitment to Egypt's REEV segment.
