GB Auto Sales Surpass 14,500 Units in Egypt During First 4 Months of 2026
GB Auto, one of Egypt's leading automotive distributors, has reported selling over 14,500 vehicles across its brand portfolio during the first four months of 2026. The figures, released by the Egyptian Automotive Market Information Council (AMIC), highlight the company's strong market presence despite ongoing economic pressures.
Chery Dominates While Hyundai and Changan Follow
Chery topped the sales chart within GB Auto's portfolio, recording 6,336 units sold and capturing the largest share of the company's total sales. Hyundai came in second with 4,271 vehicles sold, while Changan secured third place with 2,566 units. These numbers confirm the continued strong demand for Chinese and Korean brands in Egypt, particularly in the affordable and mid-range segments.
Other Brands Show Mixed Results
GB Auto's sales were not limited to the top three brands. Haval recorded 737 units, while Deepal sold 431 vehicles during the same period. Among newer brands, Li Auto achieved 164 sales, Mazda sold 19 units, and Genesis delivered just 13 vehicles. This diversity reflects GB Auto's strategy of covering multiple market segments, from budget-friendly models to premium offerings.
Market Outlook and Growth Potential
The sales data underscores the ongoing momentum in Egypt's automotive market, with consumers gravitating toward brands that offer strong value for money. Chery remains GB Auto's biggest revenue driver, thanks to competitive models like the Tiggo 8 Pro and Arrizo 5. Looking ahead, the company is expected to further expand its lineup with new launches tailored to Egyptian buyers' growing demand for fuel-efficient vehicles and modern technology.
