The first launch year of the BMW X7 in Egypt, offered in a single M50i trim at an official price of EGP 2.5 million with a two-year warranty, through then-distributor Bavarian Auto Group and locally assembled following the X5.
Pros
- Powerful twin-turbo V8 with 0-100 km/h in 4.7 seconds
- Exceptionally spacious cabin comfortably seating 7 across all rows
- Near-comprehensive standard luxury equipment with little need for extra packages
- Comprehensive suite of driver-assistance and safety systems
Cons
- Relatively high fuel consumption due to the large engine and vehicle weight
- Clearly weak resale value and ease of resale in Egypt
- Very limited spare parts availability outside the dealer network and high pricing
- Difficult to service outside the official dealer network
