King Long has taken control of Egypt's bus market, capturing a 30.9% share with 3,228 vehicles sold in the first seven months of 2026. The numbers seal its lead.
King Long at the Top... Toyota Closes In
Toyota followed in second place with an 18.5% share, selling 1,938 units, while Golden Dragon came third at 17.8% with 1,857 vehicles. The gap between them is razor-thin.
Mid-Table Competition Heats Up
In fourth, Shineray appeared with a 6.5% share and 682 buses, trailed by Chevrolet fifth at the same 6.5% with 677 units. A tight ranking that reflects fierce rivalry. Then Foton landed sixth with 5.2% and 545 units.
Mitsubishi slipped to seventh with 5.2% and 544 vehicles, while Suzuki grabbed eighth at 4.9% with 514 vehicles. The numbers stay tight through eighth place.
Bottom of the List... Limited Presence
Mercedes mcv showed up tenth with 3.2% and 331 vehicles, while Foton made a double appearance on the list, taking eleventh with just 0.4% and 44 units. The irony is worth noting.
These figures reveal clear shifts in Egypt's bus market, where brand strategies vary between expanding economy models and betting on higher quality. With public transport demand still rising, one question remains: can King Long hold the lead until year-end?
