Top 5 Most Active Traffic Units for New Car Licensing in Egypt During April
The Egyptian Motor Insurance Pool's latest monthly report has revealed the most active traffic units in Egypt for issuing new car licenses during April, with the New Cairo Traffic Unit maintaining its leading position for consecutive months.

During April, Egypt's traffic units ranked as follows: New Cairo Traffic Unit topped the list with 2,729 newly licensed vehicles, followed by Nasr City Traffic Unit in second place with 1,803 cars. October Traffic Unit secured third position with 1,471 licensed vehicles.
Abis Traffic Unit recorded 1,387 newly registered cars, while Hawamdiya Traffic Unit completed the top five with 1,240 vehicles. These figures highlight the geographic distribution of new car registrations across Egypt's key urban centers.
March Comparison Shows Consistent Trends
Comparing with March data, New Cairo Traffic Unit also led with 2,815 licensed vehicles, followed by Nasr City Traffic Unit, Hadayek Al-Ahram Traffic Unit, and Faisal Traffic Unit in fourth place. This consistency reflects stable patterns in vehicle registration activity across consecutive months.
Border Crossings and Vehicle Import Activity
Regarding customs entry points, the Salloum border crossing dominated vehicle imports into Egypt during April, with 16,220 cars entering through this key land port. This underscores Salloum's critical role in facilitating new vehicle imports into the Egyptian automotive market.
