Specialists at Gaztec, the company responsible for installing and converting fuel systems, have confirmed that all vehicles—whether modern or classic—can undergo the conversion process from gasoline to natural gas. They noted that conversion kits are available for various car types and older models, including the Fiat 128 and 132, provided the necessary technical conditions are met.

The Technical Inspection Decides

The experts explained that every vehicle undergoes a comprehensive technical inspection before the conversion process begins, to verify its mechanical fitness and the safety of its components. They stressed that passing this inspection is the fundamental requirement for approval, and it cannot be bypassed for any reason.

The 70% Efficiency Requirement

According to the specialists, a car can be converted to natural gas if it passes the technical inspection, provided its mechanical efficiency is at least 70%. This criterion determines the vehicle's suitability for conversion, regardless of its model year or age. Even older cars like the Fiat 132 can receive approval if they meet this condition.
