US Dollar Stable Against Egyptian Pound in Tuesday Midday Trading
The US dollar exchange rate witnessed a state of relative stability against the Egyptian pound during midday trading on Tuesday, within major banks operating in the local market. This movement came amid close monitoring by currency market participants for any potential changes to the American currency in the coming period, especially as economic circles remain in a state of anticipation.
Dollar Rates in Egyptian Banks
The US dollar recorded a rate of 51.01 EGP for buying and 51.15 EGP for selling at the Central Bank of Egypt. Meanwhile, the dollar stabilized at the National Bank of Egypt at 51.02 EGP for buying and 51.12 EGP for selling. At Banque Misr, the dollar stood at 50.99 EGP for buying and 51.09 EGP for selling.
Slight Variations Among Bank Rates
Dollar prices showed minor variations across different banks, with Bank of Alexandria recording 50.99 EGP for buying and 51.09 EGP for selling. At the Commercial International Bank (CIB), the dollar settled at 51.01 EGP for buying and 51.11 EGP for selling. These small differences in pricing reflect a state of equilibrium in the Egyptian foreign exchange market.
