MG Price Cuts Up to EGP 100,000 in Egypt: Meet the Cheapest Model
Mansour Automotive Group, the exclusive distributor of MG in the Egyptian market, has announced significant price reductions across its entire lineup of Chinese-branded vehicles, with discounts ranging from EGP 50,000 to EGP 100,000. The move comes amid a period of relative economic stability, easing geopolitical tensions in the region, and a decline in foreign currency exchange rates, all of which have positively impacted the local automotive sector.
Cheapest MG Model in Egypt After Price Cuts
The discounts include the MG 5 2026 model year, which now stands as the most affordable vehicle from the Chinese brand in Egypt, with a fixed reduction of EGP 50,000. Following the price adjustment, the base Comfort trim is available at EGP 874,990, while the higher-spec Luxury trim is priced at EGP 974,990, strengthening the model's competitive position in the compact sedan segment.
Engine and Performance Specifications of the MG 5 2026
The MG 5 is powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 120 horsepower and a peak torque of 150 Nm at 4,500 rpm. It is paired with a CVT automatic transmission and front-wheel drive, offering a balanced driving experience suitable for daily urban commuting and highway cruising.
Exterior Dimensions and Measurements
The sedan measures 4.60 meters in length, with a wheelbase of 2.68 meters, a width of 1.81 meters, and a total height of 1.48 meters. These proportions provide the MG 5 with a solid road presence and ample interior space for both front and rear passengers.
Safety and Driver Assistance Features
Standard safety equipment includes ABS, EBD, and ESP electronic stability control, along with CBC cornering brake control, TCS traction control, and HHC hill-hold assist. The car also features a brake disc wiping system (BDW) for wet conditions, tire pressure monitoring, and dual front airbags for the driver and front passenger.
Higher trims add speed-sensitive power steering, an electronic parking brake, and side and curtain airbags for enhanced occupant protection. On the comfort and convenience front, the MG 5 comes standard with halogen headlights with auto light sensors, electrically adjustable side mirrors, cruise control, and a four-speaker audio system, making it a practical and appealing choice in its price bracket.
