In a move that underscores the push to strengthen local automotive manufacturing, Alkan Holding Group has announced a new $120 million investment plan to establish a car assembly plant in Egypt, in partnership with global brands, most notably Kia and Baic. The project aligns with a growing trend among international and regional companies to expand their investments in the Egyptian market, relying more on local manufacturing and gradually increasing the percentage of locally sourced components.

The plan targets the production of tens of thousands of vehicles annually, alongside a strategic push toward exporting to Arab and African markets in the coming years. Against this backdrop, here is a look at the key Kia models currently available in the Egyptian market.
