Haval H6, H7, and Jolion Prices Increase in Egypt by Up to EGP 20,000
GB Auto, Haval's distributor in Egypt, has announced price increases of EGP 10,000 to EGP 20,000 across the H6, H7, and Jolion models during October. The 2026 Haval H6 rose by EGP 10,000 to start at EGP 1.31 million, the 2027 H7 increased by EGP 15,000 to EGP 1.74 million for the Ultra Black Edition hybrid, and the locally assembled Jolion saw hikes of up to EGP 20,000. These increases come amid strong demand, with car sales exceeding 135,000 vehicles in eight months.
GB Auto, the local distributor for Haval in Egypt, has announced new price increases across several models, ranging from EGP 10,000 to EGP 20,000 during October. The hikes affect the H6, H7, and Jolion, with the amount varying by trim level. The move reflects the ongoing wave of price hikes in the Egyptian car market.
Haval H6: EGP 10,000 Increase
Prices for the 2026 Haval H6 have risen by EGP 10,000. The SUV now starts at EGP 1.31 million for the Platinum trim, while the Ultra trim reaches EGP 1.5 million. This increase comes amid intense competition in the mid-size SUV segment, with strong rivals like the Kia Sportage and Hyundai Tucson. Still, the H6 maintains its position thanks to generous equipment and relatively competitive pricing. The hike might push some buyers to reconsider their options.
Haval H7 2027: EGP 15,000 Increase
The 2027 Haval H7 has seen a EGP 15,000 price increase, bringing the Ultra Black Edition hybrid to EGP 1.74 million. This model combines strong performance with fuel efficiency, making it attractive to hybrid buyers in Egypt. But with the higher price, competition with Toyota and Nissan intensifies. The market awaits customer reaction in the coming period.
Locally Assembled Jolion: Up to EGP 20,000 Increase
Prices for the locally assembled 2027 Haval Jolion have also increased, by EGP 15,000 to EGP 20,000. According to the new price list, the car is offered in three trims: Standard at EGP 1 million, Deluxe at EGP 1.055 million. High Deluxe at EGP 1.155 million. Local assembly was supposed to reduce costs, but inflation and raw material prices kept prices rising. Competition in the compact crossover segment is fierce with the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro and MG, putting pressure on the Jolion to maintain its market share.
Impact on Haval Prices in the Market
The new increases come as Egypt's car sales exceeded 135,000 vehicles in eight months, indicating strong demand despite economic conditions. But higher prices could limit some customers' ability to buy, especially in the mid-price segment. Haval, as a Chinese brand, faces fierce competition from Chery, MG, and BYD. With exchange rates continuing to fluctuate, further increases may follow in the coming months. Customers are facing tougher choices.
