Deepal G318 price cut by EGP 100k in Egypt: New official prices

GB Auto, the local distributor for Deepal in the Egyptian market, has officially slashed prices for the G318 SUV by up to EGP 100,000. The reduction applies to both trims currently available in the local market, reshaping the value equation for SUV shoppers.

Detailed breakdown of the new Deepal G318 prices

The Premium trim has dropped from EGP 2.15 million to EGP 2.05 million. The higher Adventure trim also saw a EGP 100,000 cut, bringing its price down from EGP 2.3 million to EGP 2.2 million. The price gap between the two variants now stands at just EGP 150,000, making the top-spec option a more attractive proposition.

The Deepal G318 is a full-fledged SUV that relies on an extended-range REEV powertrain. It features an all-wheel-drive system and dual electric motors producing a combined output of 424 horsepower and 575 Nm of torque. These are serious numbers for the segment.

A series of price adjustments for the Deepal G318

This latest cut is part of an ongoing pricing strategy since the model's launch. Back in March, prices were actually increased by EGP 140,000, pushing the entry-level trim to EGP 1.99 million and the top trim to EGP 2.14 million. The current reduction appears to be a calculated move to boost sales momentum.

Deepal backs the G318 with a 6-year or 250,000 km vehicle warranty. the battery and the REEV system are covered for 8 years or 250,000 km, a strong selling point in the electrified vehicle category.

Competition in Egypt's electric and hybrid market is intensifying, and the local distributor is clearly aiming to capture a larger customer base. The move puts pressure on rival electrified SUVs in the same price corridor.
