July brought unusual movement to car prices in the Egyptian market. Seven different models received price cuts, most of them in the form of cashback or refunds, while only one budget model saw an increase. The rise hit the Proton Saga at a time when nearly every other move was downward.

Jac JS6 with a 100,000 EGP Cashback

El Qasrawy Group, the official distributor of Jac in Egypt, announced a cashback offer on the new Jac JS6 worth up to 100,000 EGP. The offer is available for a limited time only, as the company clarified. The car is offered in Egypt in two trims before the cashback is applied — the first at 1,240,000 EGP and the second at 1,290,000 EGP.

DS 7 with a Discount Up to Half a Million Pounds

French brand DS in Egypt, through its distributor Ezz El Arab, took a different route with direct price cuts on its models in the local market. The substantial discount targeted the large luxury DS 7, ranging between 400,000 and 500,000 EGP in full. As a result, the first trim now costs 2,250,000 EGP instead of 2,750,000 EGP, while the second trim dropped to 2,450,000 EGP from 2,950,000 EGP.

Three Cashback Offers from KGM

KGM cars made a strong appearance on the discount list through various cashback offers. The KGM E5 came in two trims — the Premium at 879,900 EGP with a 40,000 EGP cashback bringing the final price to 839,900 EGP. The Flagship at 949,900 EGP with a 50,000 EGP cashback for a final price of 899,900 EGP. The KGM X3 Pro received a 20,000 EGP cashback on both trims, lowering the Topline from 919,900 to 899,900 EGP and the Flagship from 979,900 to 959,900 EGP. For the KGM X7, the cashback reached 65,000 EGP on the Flagship trim, reducing its price from 1,464,900 to 1,399,900 EGP, while the I-DM trim received a 50,000 EGP cashback, bringing its price down to 1,599,900 EGP from 1,649,900 EGP.

Haval H6 Refunds 75,000 EGP

GB Auto, the distributor of Haval in Egypt, revealed a new discount on one of its models, though not a direct one. It's a cashback offer of up to 75,000 EGP on the Haval H6 in the Egyptian car market. The company stated that the car's price starts from 1,375,000 EGP as the latest announced figure, meaning the cashback will be deducted from that amount. The question now is whether prices will see further declines in August.
