BAIC U5 Plus 2025: The Most Affordable Chinese Sedan in Egypt Starting at EGP 875,000
Alkan Auto, the official local distributor of the Chinese automaker BAIC in Egypt, is offering the BAIC U5 Plus 2026 family sedan as the brand's most affordable model in the Egyptian market during June.
Two Trim Levels and Pricing
The BAIC U5 Plus 2025 is available in two trim levels. The base variant starts at EGP 875,000, while the higher-specification trim is priced at EGP 975,000.
Engine and Performance Specifications
Under the hood, the sedan is powered by a 1.5-liter engine producing 111 horsepower and 142 Nm of torque. It is mated to a CVT gearbox and comes with a 48-liter fuel tank.
Dimensions and Interior Space
The BAIC U5 Plus measures 4.66 meters in length, 1.82 meters in width, and 1.48 meters in height. It rides on a 2.67-meter wheelbase and offers a ground clearance of 15.5 cm, providing generous cabin space for families.
Safety and Driver Assistance Systems
The U5 Plus comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of standard safety features, including ABS, EBD, EBA brake assist, electronic stability control, and traction control. Additional safety equipment includes an electric parking brake, hill-start assist, front airbags, engine start/stop button, keyless entry, rear parking sensors, cruise control, an immobilizer, and tire pressure monitoring. The car also features a 360-degree rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, and side airbags.
Interior Comfort and Technology
Inside, the sedan boasts a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, six speakers, and Bluetooth connectivity. It also includes automatic climate control with rear air vents, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and a leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel. The BAIC U5 Plus is available in four exterior colors: White, Red, Black, and Silver.
