Price Hike Up to EGP 2,000: Latest Al Taawun Oil Prices for Cars in Egypt

Al Taawun Petroleum Company has released its latest price list for oil products available in the Egyptian market, covering engine oils for gasoline and diesel vehicles, as well as hydraulic oils, lubricants, and operating fluids. The new list shows notable price increases across several products, with hikes ranging from EGP 15 to EGP 200 for smaller containers, and exceeding EGP 2,000 for large barrels.

Breakdown of Oil Price Increases

According to the company's latest announcement, prices for oils such as CPC One Extra (1L and 4L) and CPC Genix 8000 (1L, 4L, and 5L) rose by between EGP 15 and EGP 200. The CPC SJ and COC SF gasoline engine oils recorded the smallest increase of EGP 10 for the 1-liter bottle, while Fact GX 7000 diesel engine oil saw the highest jump of EGP 2,052 per 180 kg barrel.

Effective Date and Price Range

Al Taawun Petroleum began applying the new price list on the morning of June 29. The current range of Al Taawun oil products in Egypt starts at EGP 130 for a 1-liter bottle of Super Stan 50 and reaches up to EGP 34,884 for a 180 kg barrel of SEPHD gear oil. The list covers a wide array of products catering to both individual drivers and professional workshops.

This price increase aligns with a broader trend of rising raw material and shipping costs, directly impacting vehicle maintenance expenses in the local market. Consumers can review the full price list for Al Taawun products for May and June through authorized distribution points.
