17 New Cars See Price Drops in Egypt Within a Week, Discounts Up to EGP 100,000

The Egyptian auto market witnessed significant price reductions on a wide range of new cars during the final week of June, with discounts ranging from EGP 50,000 to as much as EGP 100,000. The price cuts come amid improved economic stability, easing geopolitical tensions in the region, and a decline in foreign currency exchange rates, all of which have positively influenced pricing dynamics in the local market.

Discounts Cover 17 Models from Multiple Brands

Local dealers announced price reductions for 17 vehicles, led by multiple Forthing models alongside the Kaiyi X7 PHEV. These pricing moves highlight the intensifying competition among Chinese and European brands in Egypt, as manufacturers seek to stimulate demand and attract a broader customer base.

Detailed Price Changes for Discounted Models

According to official data from dealers, the Forthing T5 EVO saw a EGP 60,000 reduction, now priced at EGP 1,190,000 down from EGP 1,250,000. The Forthing T5 EV dropped by EGP 50,000 to EGP 1,380,000, while the Forthing T5 REEV decreased by EGP 60,000 to EGP 1,390,000. Further reductions include the Forthing S7 EV, which fell by EGP 45,000 to EGP 1,290,000, and the Forthing S7 REEV, down EGP 50,000 to EGP 1,370,000.

Forthing U-TOUR Leads with Biggest Discount

The Forthing U-TOUR recorded the largest single reduction among all announced models, with its price cut by EGP 100,000 to EGP 1,590,000 from EGP 1,690,000. Meanwhile, the Forthing V9 dropped by EGP 70,000 to EGP 1,250,000, the Forthing M7 decreased by EGP 60,000 to EGP 1,400,000, and the Forthing M5 saw a EGP 50,000 cut to EGP 1,120,000.

Additional Discounts Across Remaining Models

Price reductions were not limited to Forthing models alone. The Kaiyi X7 PHEV also saw a EGP 50,000 decrease, now retailing at EGP 1,599,900 versus EGP 1,649,900. The Forthing T5 dropped by EGP 60,000 to EGP 1,090,000, the Forthing T5L by EGP 70,000 to EGP 1,290,000, and the Forthing M6 by EGP 50,000 to EGP 1,320,000. Larger cuts affected the Forthing M8, down EGP 80,000 to EGP 1,560,000, and the Forthing M9, which fell by EGP 90,000 to EGP 1,650,000.

These price adjustments are part of dealers' strategies to boost sales during a period of improving market indicators. Analysts expect competitive pressures to persist in the coming months, especially with the anticipated arrival of new models from Chinese and European brands in the Egyptian market.
