Soueast S08 DM Officially Launched in Egypt at EGP 1,799,000

Man East, the exclusive distributor of Soueast in Egypt, has officially launched the all-new Soueast S08 DM in the local market, offering a single trim at a price of EGP 1,799,000. This move is part of the Chinese brand's strategy to expand its footprint in Egypt's SUV segment, with a strong focus on delivering advanced hybrid powertrain technology.

Hybrid Powertrain and Impressive Performance

Karim Shehata, Sales and Marketing Director at Man East, confirmed that the new S08 represents a significant leap in the SUV category, thanks to its advanced hybrid powertrain. The vehicle is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine paired with a 1DHT hybrid transmission, generating a combined output of 342 hp and 525 Nm of torque. The total driving range exceeds 1,000 kilometers, making it an ideal choice for long journeys and daily commuting.

CATL Battery and 100 km Electric Range

Shehata explained that the car is equipped with an LFP battery from CATL with a capacity of 18.4 kWh, providing a pure electric driving range of up to 100 km under the NEDC standard. Average fuel consumption stands at 5.3 liters per 100 km, running on 92-octane gasoline, while the fuel tank capacity is 70 liters. These specifications enhance the vehicle's efficiency for daily use and reduce operating costs.

Spacious Dimensions and Luxurious Interior

Shehata noted that the vehicle's dimensions enhance cabin spaciousness and road stability, with a length of 4,810 mm, width of 1,930 mm, height of 1,795 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,875 mm, providing ample interior space for all passengers. The cabin features a 15.6-inch tilting central screen for optimal viewing angles, an advanced sound system with 12 speakers, and a smart multi-purpose refrigerator with temperature control ranging from -6°C to 50°C.

Premium Comfort and Smart Seat Features

Shehata added that the vehicle offers the highest levels of passenger comfort through a dual-zone automatic climate control system with independent vents for the second and third rows, along with fully electric seats featuring heating, ventilation, massage, and memory functions. Multiple seating and relaxation modes are available, including the full 'Big Bed Mode.' The front passenger seat includes advanced practical features, such as full recline for second-row passengers to relax, a foldable table for working on the go, and a 'Boss Key' function that allows rear occupants to adjust the front seat from the back.
