Man East, the official local distributor for the Chinese brand Soueast in Egypt, has officially introduced the all-new Soueast S08 DM. This plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) is a seven-seat family SUV making its debut in the local market, targeting families seeking a spacious, fuel-efficient hybrid crossover.

The Soueast S08 DM is available in Egypt in a single trim level, with an official price of 1,800,000 Egyptian pounds. The model is positioned as a family-oriented hybrid SUV that combines generous interior space with advanced hybrid technology and low fuel consumption, appealing to buyers looking for a versatile and economical seven-seater.

Powertrain and Performance

Built on an all-new PHEV platform, the Soueast S08 DM is powered by a 1.5TD + 1DHT Super Hybrid Powertrain that delivers a maximum output of 342 horsepower and peak torque of 525 Nm. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.3 seconds and features a 3.3 kW external discharge function for powering outdoor equipment and activities.

The car is equipped with a CATL Lithium Iron Phosphate battery pack with a capacity of 18.4 kWh, supporting DC fast charging from 30% to 80% in 0.3 hours and slow charging from 20% to 100% in 2.6 hours. The electric-only range reaches 85 km under the WLTC standard, while the total driving range exceeds 1,000 km, with fuel consumption starting at 5.3 liters per 100 km. The S08 DM comes with a front-wheel-drive (FWD) system and multiple driving modes (E/S/N).
