Rezvani Beast X: A Rare American Monster with 700 HP and Only 5 Units
Some supercars lean on a historic name and a badge everyone recognizes. Others take a completely different path—extreme lightness, immense power. Production so limited that seeing one on the road feels like a rare event. That recipe sums up the Rezvani Beast X, one of the most insane machines ever to emerge from the small American automaker.
A Small Engine... Supercar Power
The car blends a carbon-fiber body with a 700-horsepower engine, and the company plans to build just five examples worldwide. What's even more striking is that the Beast X doesn't need a V8, V10, or V12 to hit its numbers—it relies on a 2.4-liter four-cylinder that's been pushed to levels far beyond what its small displacement suggests.
At the heart of the Beast X sits a 2.4-liter four-cylinder, but Rezvani re-engineered it to deliver up to 700 hp. The company employs two high-performance BorgWarner turbochargers, along with forged pistons and valves and internal modifications designed to withstand the massive boost in power and pressure.
The result is roughly 292 horsepower per liter—a figure that reveals the immense engineering stress placed on this compact engine. Power goes exclusively to the rear wheels, setting it apart from modern supercar philosophy that leans increasingly on all-wheel drive and electronics to manage output.
Weighing Under 840 Kilograms
The most important number on the Beast X might not be the 700 hp—it's the weight. The car tips the scales at around 1,850 pounds, or roughly 839 kilograms, thanks to heavy use of carbon fiber and a lightweight structure.
By comparison, many modern sports cars exceed 1,500 kilograms, and some high-performance EVs surpass the two-ton mark. This lightness gives the Beast X an exceptional power-to-weight ratio and explains how Rezvani coaxed supercar performance from just four cylinders.
Blistering Acceleration
With this weight and power, Rezvani claims the Beast X can sprint from a standstill to 60 mph—about 96 km/h—in just 2.5 seconds. That places it in the performance territory of much larger and far pricier supercars, but the experience here is different: no hybrid system adding hundreds of extra horses, no electric motors on the front axle to assist..."}
