Porsche Unveils Three Unique 911 Editions Inspired by Toy Story Characters
German luxury sports car manufacturer Porsche has revealed three unique 911 editions to celebrate the release of "Toy Story 5," with each car representing a key character from the beloved series.
The project began in 2024 when Pixar production designer Bob Pauley and series creative director Jay Ward pitched the idea to Porsche during Monterey Car Week in California.
The collaboration follows an earlier project with Pixar: the "Sally Special," a one-off car inspired by the character Sally Carrera, which was sold at a charity auction.
According to Car and Driver, serious work on the "Toy Story" cars started in the fall of last year, led by the Sondernusch film team and Porsche's "Exclusive Manufaktur" program, which has previously created unique models, including a one-of-a-kind 993 Speedster and a Carrera GT redesigned in colors inspired by the 1970 Le Mans race.
Unlike the usual Sondernusch film series, each "Toy Story" car features playful details and vibrant designs that capture the spirit of Pixar and delight fans of the franchise.
