Mansco Automotive, the exclusive distributor of Peugeot in Egypt, has officially launched the new version of the Peugeot 408 in the local market, keeping its prices unchanged. This move aims to offer competitive value for customers and strengthen the French brand's presence in the Egyptian automotive scene.

Two Trims at Distinct Price Points

The new Peugeot 408 is available in two trims: the "Allure" at EGP 1.899 million and the "GT" at EGP 2.199 million. The car features clear exterior design updates, including a new front fascia and more modern front and rear lighting, along with sleek "Fastback" lines that give it a sporty and dynamic character, while maintaining spaciousness and practicality inside the cabin.

Engine Delivering 215 Horsepower

The new Peugeot 408 is powered by a 1.6-liter "THP" engine, producing a maximum output of 215 hp at 5,500 rpm and peak torque of 300 Nm at 2,000 rpm. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The car offers three driving modes—Normal, Sport, and Eco—allowing the driver to select the most suitable setting based on road conditions and driving requirements.

Digital Cockpit and Wireless Connectivity

The vehicle incorporates the latest generation of the "PEUGEOT i-Cockpit," which includes a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, along with customizable "Virtual i-Toggles" that enable direct shortcuts to key vehicle functions. The Peugeot 408 also supports wireless smartphone connectivity via "Wireless Mirror Screen," with the ability to connect two phones simultaneously through Bluetooth, in addition to a wireless charger and four USB Type-C ports.

Advanced Safety and Driver Assistance Systems

The new Peugeot 408 comes equipped with six airbags, an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), and Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR), along with tire pressure monitoring and ISOFIX child seat anchors. Driver assistance systems include lane keeping assist with corrective steering intervention, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning, forward collision warning with automatic braking, hill start assist, and a speed limiter and regulator. The car also features an electronic parking brake, front and rear parking sensors, and a rearview camera.
