Opel Frontera Launches in Egypt at EGP 1.19 Million, Offers Seven Seats
Mansour Automotive, the official distributor of Opel in Egypt, has officially unveiled the all-new Opel Frontera. The model represents the first seven-seat crossover from Opel in the local market, sharing its platform with the Citroen C3 Aircross. The new Frontera arrives in a single trim level, priced at EGP 1,190,000.
Engine and Performance: Balanced Power and Efficiency
Under the hood sits a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine producing 130 horsepower and 230 Newton-meters of torque. Power flows through a Japanese-built Aisin six-speed automatic gearbox. The crossover can reach a top speed of 190 km/h, with a fuel consumption rating of 6.1 liters per 100 km, backed by a 44-liter fuel tank.
Dimensions and Flexible Cargo Space
The Frontera measures 4,385 mm in length, 1,795 mm in width and 1,627 mm in height, riding on a 2,670 mm wheelbase. Cargo space varies from 40 liters with all three rows in use, to 460 liters with the third row folded, and expands to a maximum of 1,600 liters when the second row is also folded down.
Safety and Convenience Features
Standard equipment includes six airbags, auto-dimming mirrors, front and rear parking sensors, a rearview camera and a large infotainment screen. A blind-spot monitoring system adds an extra layer of safety for urban driving. With this package, Opel aims to make a strong entrance into the family crossover segment in Egypt, facing established rivals head-on.
