Engineer Mohamed Abdel Samad, Managing Director of Nissan Egypt and CEO of Nissan Africa, confirmed that the Sunny small family sedan remains one of the most successful models for the Japanese brand in the Egyptian market. He made these remarks during his speech at the Al-Ahram Light Transport Exhibition held in Cairo late last week.

Nissan Sunny Production Continues in Egypt

Abdel Samad clarified that production of the Nissan Sunny at the company's factories in Egypt is ongoing, noting that there is no final decision yet to halt its production, unlike its larger sibling, the Sentra. The Nissan Sunny tops the list of best-selling cars in the Egyptian market in recent years, leading sales during the first quarter of 2026 with a growth rate of 28.8% year-on-year, according to the U.S.-based F2M agency specializing in global automotive market research.

Nissan Sunny 2027 Prices in Egypt

The Nissan Sunny 2027 model is available this June in three trim levels, with official prices starting from EGP 765,000 for the Base A/T variant, EGP 800,000 for the Mid A/T variant, and reaching up to EGP 835,000 for the top-spec Super Salon trim. The car measures 4,425 mm in length, 1,695 mm in width, with a wheelbase of 2,600 mm, offering a rear storage capacity of 490 liters and 15-inch sport wheels.

Engine and Performance Details

The Nissan Sunny is powered by a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine producing 108 horsepower, paired with either a 4-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual transmission. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 15.5 seconds, with an average fuel consumption of 6.9 liters per 100 km, and a top speed of 178 km/h. The vehicle also comes equipped with a range of safety systems to enhance the driving experience for families.
