Nissan Egypt is set to officially unveil the locally assembled Magnite on Saturday, July 25, during a special event where the company will announce official prices and trim levels for the first time. This launch follows the successful rollout of the first units from the production line at the company's plant in 6th of October City, marking a new chapter for the model in the Egyptian market.

Fierce Competition in the Budget Crossover Segment

The Nissan Magnite is one of the most anticipated vehicles in the Egyptian market at present, particularly as it belongs to the budget crossover category, a segment witnessing intense competition and growing customer demand. Industry observers expect the car to be priced competitively, positioning it as a direct rival to several well-established models currently dominating the market.

Local Manufacturing and Local Content Ratio

The Magnite represents a significant step in Nissan's strategy to expand local manufacturing in Egypt, featuring a local content ratio exceeding 55%. This makes it the first Magnite model to be produced within Africa, supporting the state's push to increase reliance on domestic industry and deepen automotive manufacturing capabilities.

Engine Specifications and Performance

The Nissan Magnite is powered by a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine, delivering 99 horsepower and 152 Nm of torque. The vehicle measures 3,994 mm in length, 1,758 mm in width, and 1,572 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,500 mm and a ground clearance of 205 mm.

Interior Space and Features

The Magnite offers 336 liters of rear cargo space, expandable to 690 liters when the rear seats are folded down, along with a 40-liter fuel tank and an average fuel consumption of 17.9 km per liter. The cabin features a 7-inch infotainment display, electric power steering, anti-lock braking system (ABS), and electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), enhancing both safety and comfort in the vehicle.
