Mitsubishi Unveils the All-New L200 Pickup in Egypt: Specs and Details
Diamond Motors, the exclusive dealer for Mitsubishi in Egypt, has officially unveiled the all-new L200 pickup truck. The reveal took place during a special event in Ain El Sokhna, showcasing the latest addition to the brand's local lineup.
The new generation L200 boasts a significantly more robust and aggressive design compared to its predecessor. It features substantial upgrades to the chassis, driving dynamics, and onboard technology. Mitsubishi's local dealer confirmed that the pickup will be available to Egyptian customers through a pre-order system, with official pricing to be announced at a later date.
Engine and Performance
Under the hood, the new Mitsubishi L200 is powered by a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine. This powertrain generates 184 horsepower and 430 Nm of peak torque, mated to an automatic transmission and a four-wheel-drive system.
Towing and Off-Road Capabilities
Engineered to meet the demands of both commercial and personal use, the L200 offers an impressive towing capacity of up to 3.1 tons, making it highly capable of hauling trailers and heavy equipment. It is equipped with the advanced Super Select 4WD-II system, allowing drivers to seamlessly switch between various drive modes tailored for asphalt, sand, rocky terrain, and mud.
Dimensions and Modern Features
In terms of size, the new L200 measures 5,320 mm in length, 1,865 mm in width, and 1,795 mm in height, riding on a 3,130 mm wheelbase. It also features a generous ground clearance of 228 mm. The Japanese pickup is packed with modern equipment, including LED headlights, automatic light and rain sensors, power-adjustable mirrors, and a multi-function steering wheel, alongside a suite of other advanced technological features.
