Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Hybrid Launched in Egypt by Abu Ghaly Motors
Mitsubishi has launched the Eclipse Cross Hybrid in Egypt for the first time through its distributor Abu Ghaly Motors. The vehicle features a 2.4-liter petrol engine and two electric motors with a combined 188 hp and all-wheel drive. It is available in two trims starting at EGP 1.5 million, competing with the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid and Hyundai Tucson Hybrid.
Mitsubishi has officially launched the Eclipse Cross Hybrid in the Egyptian market, marking the brand's first hybrid model introduced by Abu Ghaly Motors.
Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Hybrid: Specs and Features
The Eclipse Cross Hybrid pairs a 2.4-liter petrol engine with two electric motors and a 13.8 kWh battery, producing a combined 188 hp. It sends power to all four wheels through an all-wheel-drive system, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds. Top speed is 170 km/h. Fuel consumption is rated at 6.5 L/100 km, with an electric-only range of 54 kilometers.
Interior and Technology
Mitsubishi equips the Eclipse Cross Hybrid with an 8-inch infotainment display supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless phone charger, a rearview camera. Front and rear parking sensors. The features list also includes a panoramic sunroof, leather seats, dual-zone automatic climate control. A six-speaker audio system. Safety tech comprises multiple airbags, electronic stability control, and tire pressure monitoring.
Pricing and Trims in Egypt
The car is available in two trims: the first at EGP 1,500,000. The second at EGP 1,700,000. Competition comes from the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid and Hyundai Tucson Hybrid, but the Eclipse Cross undercuts them by around EGP 100,000 with comparable specs. This launch strengthens the Eclipse Cross presence in the compact crossover segment.
