MG RX9 PHEV Enters Egyptian Market with 295 HP and 1,100 km Range

Mansour Automotive, the exclusive distributor of MG in Egypt, has launched the all-new MG RX9 PHEV in the local market. The move marks a significant shift for the brand, as it becomes the first Plug-in Hybrid model offered in Egypt within the seven-seat luxury SUV segment. The car is available in a single trim priced at EGP 1,899,990.

Plug-in Hybrid Powertrain

The MG RX9 PHEV relies on a 1.5-liter turbo engine, integrated with a plug-in hybrid system to deliver a combined output of 295 horsepower and 390 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an automatic DHT transmission, alongside a McPherson front suspension and a Multi-link rear setup that ensures stability and comfort across different driving conditions. The battery pack has a capacity of 24.7 kWh, enabling an electric-only range of up to 100 kilometers, while the total driving range reaches around 1,100 kilometers according to the NEDC standard.

The 65-liter fuel tank supports long journeys, making the vehicle a practical option for family trips. The exterior dimensions give it a strong road presence, measuring 4,983 mm in length, 1,967 mm in width. 1,778 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,915 mm. These proportions translate into a spacious interior that accommodates seven passengers, along with a cargo volume of up to 1,026 liters.

Luxurious Cabin and Advanced Features

The cabin of the MG RX9 PHEV combines spaciousness with luxury, featuring leather seats for seven occupants with a 60:40 split-folding rear seat. The driver's seat offers memory and welcome functions, with eight-way electric adjustment, while the front passenger seat can be adjusted electrically in six directions. Front seats come with ventilation, heating. Massage functions, alongside a three-zone automatic climate control system with rear vents.
